Abstract

Transformational leadership has become one of the effective managerial approaches in driving change and improving the quality of public service performance. The problem of leadership crisis, public distrust of leaders, ineffective employee performance, low quality of leadership in the public sector and the ineffectiveness of transformational leadership in the public sector as well as the challenges in the era of disruption or uncertainty are the issues studied in this research. This research aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on the optimization of public services, focusing on four main dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. This research uses the literature review method and data analysis, namely collecting, reading, recording, processing, and grouping similar extracted data in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. The results showed that each dimension of transformational leadership has a significant contribution to improving efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public services. The dimension of inspirational motivation has the most dominant influence, followed by the ideal influence. It is expected that public services can meet the needs of the community more effectively, efficiently, and responsively.
