Efektivitas Peran UPT Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia di Kabupaten Sambas

Sambas Regency is an area in Indonesia that has considerable human resource potential. However, this region often faces difficulties in providing sufficient employment opportunities for its people. To overcome this problem, the local government and various related parties rely on the Job Training Center (BLK) as an institution that plays a role in providing training and skills development to residents. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the role of the Technical Implementation Unit of the Job Training Center. Sambas Regency in improving the quality of human resources in the region. Sambas Regency has significant human resource potential, but faces challenges in providing adequate employment opportunities for its people. The BLK plays an important role in providing technical and soft skills training that is in line with the needs of the local job market, especially given the growing population and increasing number of job seekers. Qualitative methods were used to collect data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the training program at the Sambas Regency BLK is quite effective in improving the competence of participants. However, there are obstacles such as the incompatibility of training materials with industry needs, limited facilities, and suboptimal labor market information. To overcome this, it is necessary to conduct a continuous analysis of labor market needs, improve instructor competence, provide adequate infrastructure, and strengthen program monitoring and evaluation.
